Another exploration from the Octopus series. Even though the inspiration for this work came from edgy street art, the final work exudes a sense of calm in the midst of movement – very representative of my life as an artist and beyond.
The work was inspired by two different street art images from Tacoma’s Opera Alley, that were digitally layered and used as the digital negative for the cyanotype process.
Printed on origami paper. 5.875 x 5.875 inches. Signed and unframed, shipped with acid free backing board.
Graffiti imagery is one of the themes frequently present in my work: I have been capturing images of street art for years, and have a collection of work that includes creations from the States, Canada, Thailand and more.
